What you can do after you install
Chat with translation in the bubble
Write in your own language. A translation appears inside the message bubble, so you and your friend can keep talking even while you are still learning each other's language.
See your friend's local time
Every chat shows your friend's local time and how quickly they usually reply, so a late-night message to Seoul or an early one to São Paulo is a choice, not a surprise.
Join Voice Party rooms
Drop into a live Voice Party room to listen or talk with a group when text is not enough.
Share everyday life on the feed
Post photos and short updates from your day and comment on posts from friends in other countries.
Getting started in three steps
- Install Inko from the official App Store or Google Play button on this page.
- Agree to the terms, then set your country, the languages you speak, and a profile photo.
- Open a profile you like and send a first hello. A short line about an interest you share is an easy way to start.
Download questions
Which store will the download button take me to?
On an iPhone or iPad the button opens the Apple App Store, and on an Android phone it opens Google Play. On a computer you can scan the QR code with your phone camera to open the right store. Both are the official Inko listings published by Nawever.
How big is the download?
The exact size depends on your device and app version, and each store shows it on the listing before you install. Updates arrive through the same store, so you never need to download Inko from anywhere else.
Which phones can run Inko?
Inko runs on iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later and on Android phones with Android 7.0 or later. Inko is designed for phones; on an iPad it opens in the iPhone layout.
Which languages is Inko available in?
The app is available in 22 languages: 한국어, English, 日本語, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, 中文(简体), 中文(繁體), العربية, Deutsch, Español, Français, हिन्दी, Italiano, Português, Türkçe, Oʻzbekcha, Русский, Filipino, Монгол, Bahasa Indonesia, नेपाली, ខ្មែរ. Messages can be translated inside the chat bubble, so you can talk with friends who use a different language.
What safety tools does Inko have?
You can block or report a person from their profile or from a chat, and reports are reviewed against the community guidelines. Nearby friends are shown without exact locations, and your precise location is never displayed to other people.
